The flow measurement equipment of VPInstruments was used by Air Energy Management in a big air audit for the factory Astrum that produces military vehicle castings. With help of the flow meters, Air Energy Management was able to locate savings measures and a huge savings potential.

Astrum used the Carbon Trust to fund the savings measures. The Carbon Trust is an interest free loan by the English government for small and medium companies in the UK to improve the energy efficiency. Astrum is receiving the biggest loan to date of £400.000! The loan paid e.g. for low pressure drop piping, variable speed compressors and a leak-detection management equipment. They purchased VPVision and several VPFlowScope flow meters for their compressed air monitoring and leakage management. The entire project will be cost neutral in only four years; an easy decision for Astrum!
