I cannot connect to the VPFlowTerminal via RS232-USB converter

Answer

For the VPFlowTerminal, a high quality USB-RS232 converter should be used. Low cost converters are not providing the right voltages and may result in no connection or other connection problems.

You can purchase RS232-USB converters at your local computer shop. Ask for the UC232R-10 or equivalent converters with an FTDI chip inside.
