Improved VPFlowScope M flow meter and VPStudio 3

VPInstruments is happy to announce new firmware for the transmitter of VPFlowScope M flow meter. Firmware 2.3.0 has some nice new features. Simultaneously we release the new update for VPStudio 3 software which can be used to configure and readout your VPFlowScope M.

New improvements of the VPFlowScope M firmware

Firmware release 2.3.0 includes some resolved issues and added some new features. Among others we added:

  • The possibility to enter the diameter in inches
  • The possibility to enter the menu without a connected cartridge
  • Setting pages for 4..20ma, Alarm and Pulse configuration
  • Advanced menu and page for reference conditions settings
  • Calibration of the direction signal

New improvements of VPStudio 3

Besides various stability and consistency improvements, VPStudio 3.2.2 also contains some new features:

  • The ability to now update from firmware version 2.x.x to another 2.x.x
  • The Transmitter MAC Address has been added to the device information
  • You can set a preferred choice of visualizing a tube diameter (inch or mm) for the VPFlowScope M as well as for VPStudio 3

VPFlowScope M industry 4.0 flow meter

The VPFlowScope® M is a four-in-one insertion flow meter for compressed air and technical gases. It can be installed under pressure and measures flow, pressure, temperature, and total flow simultaneously. With its standard Ethernet interface, the VPFlowScope M will connect directly to any network and will form seamlessly one of the cornerstones of any real-time energy management platform. But it is also compatible with the traditional world, thanks to the standard 4..20 mA signals and RS485 (Modbus RTU) interface.
